Amazon faces $1 billion fine for 'favoring its own products'

Amazon is likely to have to pay for more court cases. This time in the UK with the accusation that the company favors its own products.

Amazon may have to pay another billion in fines, as the company is accused of abusing its dominant position in the market and thus favoring its own products.

A spokesman of Amazon says that this statement is without merit and that this will also be shown in the process of the lawsuit. The so-called "Buy Box" should be found more often on Amazon's own products, as it is with its competitors. So the algorithm does favor its own products, according to the law firm's accusation.
