Amazon is investing huge amounts of money. First the wage increase for employees, 100,000 electric vehicles in the U.S. and now also in Europe. Amazon already has thousands of electric vehicles in Europe and now there are to be even more.
At least 10,000 new delivery vehicles are to be ordered and over 1,500 new trucks are to be added. The whole thing will cost about a billion euros over the next five years. This will allow Amazon to become CO2 neutral by 2040 - 10 years ahead of the Paris Agreement, as Amazon wrote.
