Today Amazon announced a fully autonomous robot for its fulfillment centers. This will fundamentally change the company.

As early as 2012, Amazon bought a company that is intensively involved with automation. To this day, there is no sign of a decline in the number of employees. The large corporation currently has over a million employees worldwide. According to Amazon, the new robot 'Cardinal' should not take away jobs, but make people's work easier. The word 'safety' is also prioritized at Amazon, both for the workers and for the packages. A prototype is currently being tested that will carry up to 50 pounds or 22.7 kilograms. Amazon expects the robot to be operational in all fulfillment centers by next year. Then the complex logistics in Amazon's warehouses can run more smoothly.
