Apple fakes Data

Apple held an event on new products on March 9. Among other things, the new "ground-breaking" M1 Ultra chip was presented and compared with an NVIDIA RTX 3090. It seems that the M1 Ultra is not so "ground-breaking" after all.

On Friday, March 18, 2022, the time had finally come. You could receive your Mac Studio and so did some tech geeks on the Internet. These people knew that it is almost impossible to top an RTX 3090 as Apple promised and accordingly have their doubts. That's why these people did benchmarks and contradict Apple with their statement that the M1 Ultra is better than an RTX 3090.

Apple performed completely miserably in The Verge's benchmarks. Especially when you think that Apple wanted to outperform the RTX 3090. However, the benchmark shows something completely different: The RTX 3090 is more than twice as fast as the M1 Ultra in MacStudio. The same is true for the Shadow of the Tomb Raider benchmark. NVIDIA's flagship offered 142FPS on 1080p, the M1 Ultra only 108 FPS, almost 40% less.

The benchmark is very graphics intensive and if the M1 Ultra doesn't do well here, will it be anywhere better than an RTX 3090? We may very much doubt it.
