Baidu is building its own version of ChatGPT and wants to integrate it piece by piece into its own browser, according to a source with confidential information. The company wants to diversify its revenue streams this way.

Baidu's version will focus on user interaction, unlike ChatGPT, which is mainly used for programming and essay writing.

Baidu aims to provide a chatbot-generated response instead of links.
