China's foreign minister, Mao Ning, says China is not pleased with Japan's decision to stop the export of 23 different semiconductor manufacturing tools to China.

China hoped that Japan would continue to maintain cooperation with China and act objectively, Mao Ning said at a press conference.

Japan has stopped supplying semiconductor manufacturing tools and equipment to China since Friday, supporting the U.S. measures.
