Credit Suisse, Switzerland's second largest bank, confirmed today that an employee stole personal data of other employees. The criminal has not worked at Credit Suisse since.

Between 2013 and 2015, information such as compensation payments, salaries and bank information was stolen. The employee had access to that data at the time and has no intention of using it, Credit Suisse said.

Credit Suisse currently has no evidence that the data was shared. The bank has taken and will continue to take action and will take legal action to contain the incident.
