In a surprising move, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, announced today that a new CEO will be taking over at Twitter. Although Musk has not officially announced the name of the new CEO, the Wall Street Journal reports that Linda Yaccarino, head of the advertising and partnerships team at NBCUniversal, is in talks with Musk and has the qualifications for the job.

Musk himself will take over as CTO at Twitter and continue to support the company in that role. In a tweet, Musk hinted that the new CEO will start work at Twitter in about six weeks. The news has caused a lot of excitement in the tech and business world, as Twitter had been searching for a new CEO for some time and Yaccarino is considered an experienced executive. It remains to be seen how things will develop at Twitter in the future.
