Elon Musk says he has to confirm hires of employees himself

Elon Musk wrote to his staff today that he needs to confirm all the hiring for Tesla himself.

In a significant announcement today, Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared in an internal email to all employees that he will personally approve all hires from now on. The move underscores Musk's unwavering commitment to the company and his drive for excellence in all areas.

Employees have been encouraged to think carefully about hiring employees and contractors, as Musk places the highest value on selecting talented and dedicated team members to continue Tesla's growth and success.

With this new guideline, Musk will review email requests on a weekly basis and personally decide whether to approve or reject hires. This direct involvement of the CEO allows for quick decision-making and illustrates the confidence Musk has in his own instincts and leadership.

Musk recently named Linda Yaccarino as Twitter's new CEO in order to devote more time to running Tesla. This decision is expected to be explained at the investor meeting on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, where Musk will answer questions. A major focus now is on boosting demand for Tesla after the company cut prices on all models globally but failed to meet analysts' expectations.
