Google and Porsche are entering into a partnership after long discussions. The software is designed to give drivers a way to operate Google functions, such as Google Maps and Google Assistant, without a phone. General Motors, Renault, Nissan and Ford also use Google's software.

Porsche was already in talks with Google, Apple, Baidu, Tencent and Alibaba to provide new software for the cars after Volkswagens Cariad stopped developing software. Google was the worst solution at first because the company asked for too much data.
