HASCO Introduces High Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Steel Sealing Plugs

  • HASCO has developed new stainless steel sealing plugs that offer high corrosion resistance and are ideal for use in cleanrooms, particularly in the medical technology sector. These plugs provide reliable cooling for injection molding tools using hot or cold water and heat transfer oil.

  • The sealing plugs are temperature-resistant up to 180 °C and can handle pressure loads in the cooling system of up to 10 bar without any issues. Made from high-quality stainless steel, they ensure reliable and long-lasting cooling applications. The plugs are easy to assemble thanks to the Torx screw design, and their corrosion resistance and simple installation make them an optimal solution for precise temperature control in the injection molding industry.

HASCO, a leading provider of tooling components, introduces the new stainless steel sealing plugs Z9425/.../VA, specifically designed for use in cleanrooms, such as in the medical technology field.

These sealing plugs allow for reliable cooling of injection molding tools using hot or cold water and heat transfer oil. They are temperature-resistant up to 180 °C and offer excellent corrosion resistance. Pressure loads in the cooling system of up to 10 bar can be achieved without any issues.

The high-quality stainless steel alloy 1.4305 ensures reliable and durable cooling applications. The Torx screw design enables easy assembly of the plugs while reliably transmitting torque without damaging the inner profile.

While assembly with horizontally drilled cooling holes can be done by hand, for vertical cooling holes, it is advisable to slightly increase the size of the sealing plug before mounting it by screwing in the Torx screw and utilizing the friction with the wall of the drilled hole. This allows for controlled positioning even during vertical installation.

The HASCO stainless steel sealing plugs offer an optimal solution for the cooling of injection molding tools, particularly suitable for demanding environments such as cleanrooms and the medical technology field. Their high corrosion resistance and easy assembly make them a reliable choice for efficient and precise temperature control in the injection molding industry.
