HP lays off up to 6,000 workers

The computer manufacturer HP is now also forced to join Meta, Intel and Microsoft. The company plans to lay off up to 6,000 employees over the next three years.

HP is now also in a bind and has to lay off between 4,000 and 6,000 workers. The reason, as already at Intel, is a lower demand for laptops, PCs and other electronic consumer devices.

HP has also adjusted its expectations for fiscal 2023. In total, the group is expected to save $1.4 billion over the next three years. As expected, these will be largely saved on the workers.
