Intel and Samsung in talks

After attending the WEF in Davos, Switzerland, the Intel CEO flew to South Korea, where he met with high-ranking Samsung executives.

Soon a cooperation with Samsung for more advanced chips? Image: Intel

Pat Gelsinger, the CEO of Intel, met with high-ranking Samsung executives in Seoul. The reason for this are talks with regard to a cooperation between the two companies.

Intel has already made some agreements with TSMC for new chips. TSMC is a competitor for both Samsung and Intel. It is assumed that Intel would like to enter into a cooperation for the new chips, since they will become more and more complex over time and the two companies can excellently develop more advanced technologies.

There is also still room for speculation whether future Samsung smartphones will have Intel processors installed. However, current processors from Intel are hardly suitable for smartphones because they would get too hot and there is hardly a cooling option.

However, the reasons for this conversation are still unknown and therefore the only option is to wait for Samsung executives to comment on the meeting.
