Intel's next Factory

Intel is known for its good processors and soon also graphics cards. But there is still one problem: the chips are mainly produced by TSMC. As it turned out, this did not prove to be very smart, because there were severe delivery delays at TSMC.

Intel is expanding the company's infrastructure. In the future, between 6000 and 8000 people will work in this factory in Oregon. The campus will extend over several buildings. A total of $3 billion has been spent on this project, boosting Oregon's economy. According to Intel, 105,000 jobs have been created in Oregon and has accounted for $19 billion in U.S. gross domestic product.

By 2025, Intel says "all new products" will be made in one of its own factories to get away from TSMC.
