Levi's is working with Lalaland.ai to create clothing models with AI to diversify the different body types in the online store. This is to allow people with different body types to see how the clothes would look on them. That way, customers who are frustrated because their body is not represented with a garment that fits their body types.

However, the announcement leaves questions unanswered. It doesn't clarify whether the models will be configurable with body types, ages, sizes and skin tones. Levi's also promises that the company will be more sustainable this way. No explanation was given for this statement.

Levi's also writes that the company does not want to replace models, but rather supplement them. AI is also intended to cut costs. In 2022, the company laid off 800 employees and in 2020, 700 were laid off.

Other companies in the fashion industry are also working with AI to allow customers to try on clothes on themselves online. Snapchat is working on a solution for every business in the fashion industry.
