Mastercard is looking to expand its offering in terms of cryptocurrency payments. The company already has partnerships with Binance, Nexo and Gemini. The Binance Card can be used to make payments, which are backed by deposits at Binance.

Banks and lawmakers are currently looking skeptically at the cryptocurrency industry. With the collapse of FTX, a negative image of the industry emerged and is despised by politicians. In March, Binance was accused on alleged "illegal" transactions. Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance denies these allegations and says that the lawsuit contains incomplete facts.

Mastercard sees no problem with cryptocurrencies. On the contrary, the company is expanding its offerings in the industry. The company wants to offer secure payments with cryptocurrencies to prevent fraudulent and illegal activities.
