Meta has started its next wave of layoffs this week. This time, the layoffs are expected to be mostly computer scientists, data analysts, UX researchers, and other technical roles. Vox reports that about 4000 employees will be affected by the current layoffs.

Meta is not yet at the end of its layoffs. In total, there are three waves of layoffs, according to Mark Zuckerberg's post. Currently, the company is in the second wave. The third wave will begin towards the end of May and will affect business groups.

Last year, the company laid off 11,000 employees and this year 10,000 more will follow, Zuckerberg noted. The layoffs are intended to increase the company's efficiency and make up for losses from the previous year.
