Microsoft and the London Stock Exchange Group are entering into a long-term partnership. Over the next 10 years, Microsoft plans to invest $2.8 billion in the group. In doing so, LSEG is expected to benefit through Microsoft's cloud infrastructure, particularly in Microsoft Teams, Excel and PowerPoint.
However, regulators are strongly concerned that too many companies are becoming overly dependent on a few cloud providers. LSEG will accordingly use other cloud providers as well.
