Microsoft released a video upscaler for the Edge browser today. This upscaler can be used by anyone with an RTX 20/30/40 series graphics card or a Radeon RX5700 or higher. All videos below a resolution of 720p can be upscaled with the help of the graphics card. The resolution to which the video is then streamed was not mentioned.

According to Microsoft, the upscaler is in a test phase and can only be used by users with the Canary version of the Microsoft Insider Program for Edge. If you use the video upscaler, it is possible that the graphics card loses performance when you are gaming at the same time.
