Microsoft announced in October that 1,000 employees will be laid off. Today, the company announced that 10,000 employees will be laid off this year by the end of March. Notifications will be sent out starting today as to which employees will have to leave.

Microsoft is feeling the recession and is already preparing for it. The corporation took a $1.2 billion hit to revenue after fewer customers used the company's cloud business.
