After Microsoft had already announced that Bing will run with ChatGPT and invested $1 billion in 2019, the corporation wants to go one step further and wants to invest $10 billion. Negotiations are already underway. The investment does not change the market value of $29 billion.

Microsoft will get 75% of all profits from OpenAI in return until the investment is paid off. After this condition is met, Microsoft will remain OpenAI's largest investor with 49%. Another 49% goes to other investors and the remaining 2% goes to OpenAI's non-profit subsidiary.
