Many have already seen the Linus Tech Tips video, in which Linus uses the official Apple "Self Repair Kit" for the latest iPhones. Soon there might be a second part about it.

Not only iPhones, but also MacBooks are to be repaired in the future. For $49 per week, you can rent the equipment from Apple so that you can repair your MacBook yourself.

However, only MacBooks with an M1 chip can be repaired for the time being. Further in the article, Apple also wrote that they are expanding the service to other countries. This expansion is expected to start in Europe later this year.

Still, Apple continues to advertise their own service to people who have never worked with electronic devices before. For example, the company has said that 8 out of 10 Apple customers don't even have 20 minutes to the nearest store.
