Qualcomm introduces a chip that enables both assisted driving and entertainment in one. Previously, two separate chips were needed to cover both areas, which meant high costs.

Qualcomm is cutting costs for automakers with the new chip. The automotive industry is an important key industry for chipmakers, as demand is growing rapidly with autonomous driving and entertainment in cars. The chip is expected to be released in the first half of next year.
