The Chinese producer of Apple's iPhones has to shut down for a short time due to the increased number of Corona cases in the Zhengzhou region. Covid cases have risen from 95 to 358 in the last 7 days. The measures will remain in place until November 9 for now.
So Apple has one less big supplier for the new iPhone 14 range in the next 7 days. However, the lockdown affects the company less, since Apple has increasingly moved production to India, Malaysia, Thailand and South Korea in the past few years.
Foxconn has already introduced measures in the past to curb the number of cases. The company also has a request for employees to be vaccinated against the virus.
