Twitter employees have been made aware that their shares in the company will be frozen. This is supposed to be a sign from Twitter that the company is hoping for the deal. That's what it says on the FAQ page.
The $44 billion deal is expected to be completed by Oct. 28. After Musk announced the deal in April, he backed out in May. That was followed by several court cases, which were to take place this week. Musk capitulated before then, however, and is expected to accept the deal after all.
