Elon Musk wrote on Twitter today that content creators can create their own subscriptions on the platform with which users get access to exclusive content. This feature is intended to help content creators make money on the platform.
For the first 12 months, any user who offers a subscription will get the full money. 70% of the amount for Android/iOS devices and ~92% for web purchases. The transaction fee for Android and iOS devices is 30%, for web purchases the payment processor takes 8% of the amount.
With this paywall, users can upload hours of videos and write longer texts. Twitter is strongly supporting Creators by heavily promoting the work.
After the first year, users will then only have to pay 15% of the transaction costs of Android & iOS and an uncertain percentage on top for Twitter. The percentage will be set later, depending on the volume of the featur
