Last July, Amazon announced that it would buy One Medical for $3.49 billion. Amazon's goal with this acquisition is cheaper and more efficient medicine. Regulators, however, were able to stop the deal.
The FTC announced today that the commission will only send Amazon a pre-warning notice with concerns about the deal. The FTC has and will continue to have the authority to reverse the deal even after it is completed.
The FTC's concerns about the deal include harm to competitors and customer data processing.
