Ukraine gets Starlink Internet

Writer's picture: Alexander FähAlexander Fäh

The Internet in Ukraine is not particularly good. With just 29.06 Mbps, the country ranks 62nd in the world according to Ookla. This means that information access is very slow. That's why the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Federov asked on Twitter if Elon Musk can unlock Starlink Internet in Ukraine.

Ten hours later, Musk responded to the request, writing that the Starlink service was now available in Ukraine and more terminals were on the way. Two days later, the minister tweeted that the Starlink dishes had arrived.

However, this is a test for the Starlink bowls. Because you have to distribute them in such a way that not all dishes can be bombed at once. Also, the satellites are tested to see if they can withstand such special situations.
