WhatsApp will be more transparent about changes in the future so that users of the app are informed. Last year, the EU complained that changes were made to WhatsApp's privacy policy but users were not informed.
The privacy policy was updated by Meta in 2021 and no user noticed it. This action is illegal and the EU could impose sanctions on Meta in this case.
